Use a file property rule. You can there detect several types of encrypted files. However classify it with AIP does not automatically encrypt. Have you switched on the automatic encryption in Purview? If yes you end up with a rights management encrypted document, that Symantec DLP is able to detect.

Subject: DLP doesn't detect microsoft AIP classified file while uploading it to sharepoint
I classified a file(word, pdf) with Microsoft AIP as C2. As my understanding this should be detected as encrypted file if I created a policy with file type rule selecting encrypted option. but somehow these AIP classified file is not detected by the policy while uploading it to SharePoint. Does anyone know why or how we can detected this as encrypted file in dlp policy?
