Any action to Block/Remove/Replace/Encrypt and email is an action that is NOT done by the Symantec DLP platform. DLP can update a header/send a block notification which is then read my the next hop MTA. The MTA will do the action of blocking, striping, encrypting the mail before it goes out. Symantec Email Prevent DLP is not the device that actually sends out the email to the recepients. It does the inspection and can then update headers, which are read by the MTA (O365, Proofpoint, Symantec Email GW (Message Labs etc.)
So you should be asking if the MTA has the capability of Encrypting, Stripping, Replacing data based on a Header.
