Hello SYSVIEW community!
On behalf of the SYSVIEW product team, we are pleased to announce the following enhancements to our z/OS APM Bridge (ZAB) component. The enhancements are contained in Feature PTF LU12968.
Enhanced Sysplex Deployment
You can now deploy ZAB on multiple z/OS instances in your sysplex with one zFS deployment. The ZABCFG## configuration file contains a new property named systemList
that lets you configure multiple system names that you specify using a comma-separated format. This enhancement streamlines the deployment process and reduces maintenance time.
Enhanced zFS Data Set Naming
The ZABCFG## configuration file contains a new property named runtimeZFSN
that lets you specify a custom name for your zFS data set. If you choose to not provide a value for the property, the default value is runtimeDSN.ZFS
.
For more information about the new properties, see ZAB z/OSMF Instance: Environment Variables in the SYSVIEW documentation.
Added OPS/MVS Heartbeat Support
ZAB can now send heartbeat messages to OPS/MVS in five-minute intervals. The integration with OPS/MVS helps to ensure that your systems are consistently up and running smoothly. By monitoring and reporting to OPS/MVS, ZAB allows for quick and efficient issue resolution and gives you peace of mind. For more information, see Integrate ZAB with OPS/MVS Event Management and Automation in the SYSVIEW documentation.

NOTE: These enhancements do not apply to SYSVIEW Essentials configurations of SYSVIEW Performance Management.
We value your business and thank you for using SYSVIEW!
