Hi Steve, I wholeheartedly concur with Owen’s comments. The Receive
Order process is fairly straightforward and once you get the hang of
it, you will likely want to use it for all your mainframe products.
Let us know if you have any problems with it.

Subject: RE: Downloading Holddata and Assigns
Hi Steve,
I recommend you take the opportunity to transition to using SMP/E Internet Service Retrieval (also known as "SMP/E Receive Order") that uses HTTPS (TLS) to transfer data. Once configured, I find it the simplest and most efficient way (more so than z/OSMF) to refresh a product's HOLD data and PTFs using a simple batch job. The documentation (and video) are here.
Cheers,
Owen

Subject: Downloading Holddata and Assigns
We are still doing manual downloads of solutions as well as hold and hiper/RS assign files.
We have been using FTP, but are now, internally, being told that we MUST drop FTP and transition to sFTP.
Where do I locate the instructions and, hopefully, example JES jobs, to do all the needed downloads?
Or - can I access these files using Edge or Chrome, and just save to my PC from there? If yes, where would I find them and what credentials would be required?
Thank you.
