Broadcom's Partnership on Cyber Defense and the related developments in Gen

You may like this quick read about Broadcom's presence in the United States' CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), as part of a public-private partnership with a mission to secure critical networks and infrastructures to help governments around the world. 

In line with Broadcom's initiative, as a commitment to offer a safe and secure product, Gen is diligently following the path of building security into the development, implementation, and maintenance of our product. Some examples of this are: 

• Rapidly released fixes for the recent Log4j vulnerabilities.
• Automated code scanning in our CI/CD pipeline.
• Reoccurring security maintenance. 

To support customer security needs, we're also:

• Adding features to Gen like support for passphrases in the Client Manager, which is currently in development. 
• Sharing security advice at the 2022 Mainframe Technical Exchange, "Is my Gen application secure? End-to-end security in Gen".
• Offering Design Thinking Sessions to customers who want to partner on security planning.
