We are working on Part 2 for Consuming REST on COBOL/Batch applications. We have a Beta version available and would like to have some customers do some testing. If you're available over the next couple weeks, please email me: Kim.Peelman@Broadcom.

    FAQ:
    How do I participate?
    1. Go to the Gen project in Validate.Broadcom.com. ( If you don't have an account, email Kim for an invite.)
    2. Go to Pre-Release Drop in the top Gen menu.
    3. Select "Beta Testing for PART 2 Consuming REST for COBOL/Batch" and download the files to install in your test environment.

What is included in "PART 2"?
    1) TSOAE application support

Gen-generated applications with a TP Monitor of IEFAE and/or
applications targeting the TSO Test Facility can now consume
       RESTful APIs.

    2) Batch application support includes DLIBATCH and IMS_BMP

Gen-generated Batch applications packaged with a Db2 Attach Type
of DLIBATCH or IMS_BMP can now consume RESTful APIs.  Support
for Batch applications packaged with a Db2 Attach Type of
DB2_DSN or EXEC/NONE was previously provided in LU08865.

    3) Configuration overrides via CALLREST properties file

In addition to the Configuration parameter overrides that can be
specified in your PAD logic, Gen-generated Batch applications can
now also specify Configuration overrides in a CALLREST properties
file.  This is similar to the functionality provided by the
callrest.properties file used by Gen-generated Java applications.
Please note that Configuration parameters specified in your PAD
logic will override the values specified in the CALLREST properties
       file.
