The latest release of the NetMaster API Service and the NetMaster Web Portal provides you with valuable enhancements to the SmartTrace functionality that is available on the Web Portal.
- First, you can now manage ICMP4, ICMP6, and Multi-TCP type trace definitions from the NetMaster Web Portal. With this enhancement, all trace types that can be defined and managed in the 3270 interface (with the exception of OSA) can also be managed through the Web Portal.
- Second, the SmartTrace copy functionality in the 3270 interface is now available from the Trace Definition view in the NetMaster Web Portal. When you click the action menu for a definition in the Trace Definition view, there are two new options - Copy Definition and Copy Definition to Remote. Using these options, you can copy a SmartTrace definition either within a region, or to a remote region.
To take advantage of the new functionality, you install PTFs 10123 (for the API) and 10124 (for the Web Portal). For additional detail refer to:
Note that you must install PTF LU10123 for the NetMaster API Service before you install PTF LU10124 for the NetMaster Web Portal. Make sure to check the HOLDDATA instructions before installation.
