    I'm encountering two errors when installing the sensor for Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Event Collector (SMSME). I am installing the collector on a computer that is not running SMSME.

    I'm following the instructions in the PDF SEC_for_SMSExchange_43.pdf. The SMSME server is running Windows 2008, and SMSME is version 6.0.8.

    First, on the bottom of page 11 it says to locate the DLL EventLogMessages.dll from the SMSME server. I can not find this file on the server anywhere.

    Second, I copied the SAVFMSEMsg.dll file to the collector computer. When I run the regsvr command, I get the following error: "SAVFMSEMsg.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file can not be registered."

    Have others seen this problem?

    This issue has been resolved.  SSIM backline support helped create a registry update and a KB article.  See here:
