  • 1.  SEP 11 RU 7 MP 3(Where is Waldo)?

    Okay,

    I know that SEP 11 RU 7 MP 3 was released last week, and we are having some issues, but I would like to know where is it? I spoke with Tech Support and they told me, that it should be out there? I downloaded MP 2.

    Please if anyone can answer this question of where Waldo is, that would be much appreciated.

    Hello,

    You can download the latest version of SEP from www.fileconnect,symantec.com

    You need serial number  to download it.

    Well Guys apparently NOT for SPS. I have 2 serial Numbers and neither has MP3.

     

    Oh the joy, Off to my Symantec Rep.

    Please Note: If incase you do not see the SEP 11.0.RU7 MP3 Release on Fileconnect, you may see the same in coming few days on your Fileconnect Account.

    OR

    You may like to try contacting the Symantec Licensing Department and they may provide you with the Temporary Serial number, with which you could download the Latest SEP 11.0.RU7 MP3 version.

    I have SPS and I finally got my 12.1 RU2 upgrades available today on FileConnect. Only two weeks after it was released. Not too happy with that.

    I got a temp license from Support last week so I could download the files and begin my Windows 8/Server 2012 testing...

    Unfortunately... product suites and localized builds traditionally release later.

    Sandra,

     

    Your reply made me realize why those of us who are licensed for the suite wait longer to get SEP.

    Apparently that is because a new SPS suite might only be released after (some) other major components of the suite also have new updates (beyond what is in SPS 4.0)..

     

    Even so, it would be good for us and good for the licensing department, if I could see the latest SEP on FileConnect separately and in addition to SPS 4.0.   Someone must have thought of that.

    Another path would be that you choose the current SPS 4.0  and could see the latest releases there.

    You're welcome! There isn't a "Licensing" area in Ideas, but making the process easier to get a new release of an individual component, before the whole suite of which it's a part is updated on FileConnect, is certainly an idea worth posting.
