So are there any Symantec/Altiris products supported for Windows 2008 R2?  I know SEP and Backup Exec are but I'm looking at our Altiris infrastructure upgrade this year.  With the continued delay of NS 7.1 I can't wait any longer to upgrade our 6.x environment to 7.

No support exists yet for Windows Server 2008 R2 in the current Altiris platform.

CMS 7.1/SMP7.1 will support R2 and the beta should be starting today.  You can register here - https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/itms-71-beta-coming-october-13-2010-500-pm-mdt for more details.

We have already made the jump to NS 7.0 and the Windows Server 2008 support or lack of, has been a roadblock.

I hate the idea of requesting a few new server, just to say "Oh, but I need the legacy 2003 OS on them..."  especially with SD7 requirements too much to virtualize.  I guess I could virtualize the NS, but I was hoping to redo our architecture.

I am pretty sure the Deployment Solution 6.9 SP4 will run on 2k8 r2.
