I have searched for many hours now trying to figure this out.

When we do inventory, we still need to change some items by hand, so in NS 6 we had a search that we could type in multiple items with a comma between them and just get those items so we could do a bulk edit on them, since they are having the same atributes edited.

Not sure this is super clear.

Not sure how to do this in 7.1, any help, or am I missing something?

What is an item?  A data class?  A software resource?  A computer?

for example, we have a report that shows all computers, monitors, scanners,....

I need a way to do a search for a group of them so they display just those items so we can select them and do a bulk edit.

    I had an input box that I could type Computer1, computer2, Monitor2, scanner3

In ther resilts all I want is for Computer1, computer2, Monitor2, scanner3 to be there.

This is sort of a work-around, but why do you need to modify the data?  Maybe we can remove the need to search like this or develop a back-end SQL query.
