Altiris Agent Consuming 98% CPU on Windows 2000

    In my current enviroment there are four machines running Windows 2000 that at randon times the Altiris Agent is cosuming 98% of the CPU. I do not have any other reports of this issue on XP or 7 machines and the Altiris NS version being used is 6.0.6074 (SP3 + R11). Should I uninstall/reinstall the local agent on the computer? The user has requested that the machines not be reimaged and they are running 2000 due to an incompatibility of certain applications with XP and 7. Please advise of how to proceed.
