  • 1.  Additional field customization in Asset Form

    In asset management under manage configuratin item there are default fields which is IT and Non IT items, Like Computer, Printer, Scanner etc

    In this we need to add some our fileds like Company code, Division, Department, RSN Number, Service Tag, MDN number.

    Can we add this filed in this form and if YES then How?

    If you are talking about new resource type, yes you can.

    Go to Settings-> All Settings -> Notification Server -> Resource and Data Class Settings -> Resource Types

    Right-Click on Asset Types folder -> New -> Resource Type (e.g Divison)

    Configure resource type as you wish and save changes

    Go to Manage->Assets

    Right click on any folder -> New -> Resource Type Link

    Select "Divison" from the list.
