Backup software integration : netbackup and workflow

I'm going to deploy netbackup. Is there some integration with Altiris ? Mainly some links with workflow solution ?

Workflow should provide some NBU components out-of-the-box, just not loaded in projects by default. If you go to project properties and then the Libraries tab, you should be able to add Symantec.Components.NetBackup.

Can we automate NBU restore using the symantec workflow?

i'm interesting in what automation that can be provide symantec workflow to NBU.

Bp Config Command

Bp DB Jobs Command

Bp Get Debug Log Command

Bp Image Command

Bp Image List Command

Bp Restore Command

Vlt Eject Command

Looks like "Bp Restore Command" might do what you need.

I'm going to further investigate on those components. But it looks to be a good start.

Is there some ready to use packages for event management ?

About the component encapsulation, I guess we need to install a NBU agent or something on the workflow server.

Is there some workflow examples (just to have an idea of what wna be done and what is the best design) ?
