Does your organization plan to move production data to SharePoint 2010 soon?   If so, what is the timeframe for this move?  Feel free to message me directly if you wish to reply privately.

    Thanks,
    Ben

As some of you may know, we're in development on an integrated SharePoint scanner that can be fully controlled (start / stop / pause) from the Enforce UI.  We're also looking at enabling support for SharePoint 2010, but there are some decisions that we need to make around this feature and were looking for feedback from all of you who would be interested in this functionality.  Below is an overview of the two options under consideration.

    Option 1
    • Fully integrated control of SharePoint 2010 scanning
    • Retrieval of base permissions and custom SharePoint permissions
    • Ability to retrieve a list of site collections
    • Bi-directional (ability to move content to SharePoint)
    • Ability to retrieve multiple versions of SharePoint documents
    • Requires an web service to be installed on the SharePoint WFE
    • 2x faster than Option 2
    Option 2
    • Fully integrated control of SharePoint 2010 scanning
    • Retrieval of base permissions only
    • Uses standard SharePoint web services API
    • Does not require an installation on the SharePoint WFE
    • Could be used to scan Microsoft Hosted SharePoint Services
    • Cannot retrieve a list of site collections
    • Cannot use size filters
    • Cannot retrieve multiple versions of SharePoint documents
    • Has no bi-directional capability
Lastly, do you have any plans to move to Microsoft Hosted SharePoint?  You can also reply to me at harold_byun@symantec.com

    Thanks,
