Question for our DLP customers: Which version of Oracle 11g is your organization more likely to move to, R1 or R2?

Oracle 11.2 is emerging here, but with the critical vulnerability exposed this week in Oracle 11g I am unsure about our plans to move.

"Litchfield says he warned Oracle about the flaws in November, but they haven't been patched. Oracle didn't immediately respond to a request for comment."

I spoke with our DBA's, and we're planning on R1.

What is the timeline for DLP to support 11g? I'm the only 10g database remaining in our environment.

    ChrisAM,

We are targeting support for Oracle 11g in v11 of DLP, which is scheduled for release end of this year/early next year.

    Thanks!

Is this when Windows Server 2008 support will be introduced? Is it currently possible to run a 10.5 detection server on Windows Server 2008?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Chris,

Correct, v11 of DLP will be the first version that supports Windows 2008.
