  • 1.  How to provide staff with easy access to doc on jobs/workflows

    Posted Aug 10, 2022 01:38 PM

    Hello everyone,

In an effort to increase knowledge and support levels, we would like to provide more documentation for staff regarding the different jobs/workflows, such as what they do and what can be done of there is an issue.  Over the years we have provided some notes in Docu tab, but the lack of formatting makes it not the best for the amount of detail that we would like to provide.  So, I am reaching out to see what other have implemented.

I was looking into having an external link in the Documentation tab that points to the doc for each job/workflow, but I am worried about that path eventually changing.

    Ideas and suggestions welcomed

    Rick

    Hi Rick,

Paths can change in any system or application. I find it handy to put documentations on the Automic webserver. Some customers store the Automic Offline help there, why not also do that for your docu.pdf? I've seen links stored in a DASH=> Rich Text Widget

    Cheers
    Christoph

    Hello,

we use "Structured Documentation". For this you have to in the "UC_OBJECT_DOCU" extend the Key and Value1.
    For Example:
    Key1     Value1
    JOBP    Docu,@DocuStr
    JOBS    Docu,@DocuStr
    ...

    Regards
