    Hi,

We are working on automating the robot installation and removal.
Currently we are trying Ansible as our main tool, but I guess the tool itself is not relevant.

We managed to perform the installation of robots without any issues, but the removal is still unsolved.
We can stop the robot from running on the servers using commands (for disabling the service) from Broadcom or the OS, but we are stuck at the next phase of removing the robot installation files.

As we have thousands of robots, with dozens of them going in and out of production on regular basis, we are in a need for a solution for this.
Just to be clear, this issue affects all operating system.
Most of the robots were installed in very old version directly on the servers and was upgraded with robot_update more than once in most cases.
I believe we initially installed version 7.60 or something like that, migrated to 8.* and now we are at 9.* in the middle of upgrading to 20.*, of  course we need to support all versions as much as we can.

I wonder if anyone encounter this issue, or has any idea I can look into, as there is no documented procedure for uninstalling (or it is not working) and the is no such feature like "deep cleaning" that can clean the installation of robots for any OS.

    Thanks for your help,
    Ziv

Perhaps this can help (I did not try the uninstall command myself):
