    Hello

Has the security Vulnerability for Microsoft XML Parser in Infrastructure Manager also been addressed by this update?

Vulnerability remediation is not fixed with 20.4 CU5,  but is being worked upon.
    Tentative ETA early 2023.

    Hi Ashish

    Thank you.

Will these "friendly" Error Messages also be resolved or supressed?

    Hi Ashish

    Thx

    Hi Michael,

Error messages will be resolved and not suppressed related to mentioned vulnerability.
IM GUI is being sustained and not enhanced.

    Ashish

I am in software development myself so I do understand the situation that IM finds itself in but I'd be curious to know, of those who use IM and AC/OC, which they prefer.

Personally, even though IM hasn't seen an enhancement in a decade, I find it's still far superior to the web based tools for pretty much everything other than visualizing QOS data - mostly because there's no way to do that in IM except for the handful of probe GUIs that have simple data displays.

    Just my 2 cents.....

I use always IM for admin work & console & liked Liferay very much (I'm still waiting how/when OC will give use back some customization possibilities, now OC is more for admins and not a client tool)
Note: customization possibilities: create a custom menu with sub items and put dashboard, web report, cabi report, prd report behind a sub-item.

    Luc,

Customization capabilities exactly what you mentioned in WIP and would be available soon on OpConsole.
    Stay tuned.

We are forced to use all 3 (IM, AC and OC) as each has important functionality that is not in the others.
    1. Probe management only supported in AC or MCS (eg. docker or mongodb)
    2. Probe management only available in IM (eg. snmptd)
    3. Probe management only available in OC (eg MCS, dont even get started on the mess that is MCS deployment management (some of which CU5 is supposed to address).
    4. some functionality in AC and other in IM (eg hub)
And as like @Luc Christiaens says the stability and functionality of IM for operations (ie "alarm console", "Dr Nimbus") means they are used rather than OC which still has a looonnng way to go in this respect.

    Regards, Andrew
