Alarm Severity

Hi Community

Iam trying to change the alarm severity from Critical to Major and i tried copying the cause code of Critical alarm and pasting in event configuration search tab and i found that the severity of that Critical alarm showing as Major in event config tab, Kindly suggest me

You're not explaining the situation clearly. I don't understand what the problem is.

Whenever you copy one event code to another one, you have to edit original event and configure it to trigger the new custom event. 

You don't need to copy the event, you just need to change the severity from Critical to Major. That is, if I understood correctly what you want to achieve.

Are you referring to the Event Rules on the Monitoring Profile (MP) for Device Polling Statistics?

If so, you can't change them.  You should use REST to disable the OOTB Event Rules.  And then use Threshold Profiles to create a new profile/rule for Data Aggregator item and choose the Device Polling Statistics metric family and metric in the MP rule.  Then set whatever severity you want.
