This software blueprint installs the Veeam Agent for Linux on an RPM-based distribution such as CentOS, RHEL, or OEL and licenses it according to your entitlement. It requires that the deployed machine have access to an SMB shared repository where the .rpm and .lic files reside, as well as have Internet access to the public Veeam software repos from where the packages will be pulled. Developed and tested on CentOS and OEL 7.3 with the Veeam Agent for Linux 1.0 U1 on vRealize Automation 7.2. To use this software blueprint, you must have a vRealize Automation Enterprise license with the guest and software agents installed on your Linux template.
Configure the properties in the blueprint according to your needs and optionally set overrides if you wish them to be configurable per machine blueprint. For example, you might select the "edition" property to be overridable to create blueprints licensed for server and workstation edition.
After adding the software component to a machine blueprint, you should have a successful deployment that gives you the Veeam Agent for Linux up and running, licensed, and ready for jobs!
