Black Screen & Login Issue

I am experiencing a severe issue with VMware Workstation Pro. Once I log into the VM, the entire system freezes, including the mouse and keyboard, except for the lock key. Here are the details:

Issue Description:

    • Upon logging into the VM, the host system completely freezes.
    • The mouse and keyboard become unresponsive, except for the lock key.
    • Locking and then unlocking the host system temporarily restores control over the mouse and other applications, but the VM remains unresponsive.

I had the same prblem with Ubuntu 24.04, a completely black screen would show up and everything would freeze. I think it is a prblem with NVIDIA graphics cards but I haven't found anything definite.

Fix: Virtual Machine Settings/Display/3D Graphics turn off Accelerate 3D graphics and it works.

I am hoping a better solution comes to light but this is a good temp fix
