Windows 11 VM Not Holding Screen Resolution

I have a Windows 11 Pro Windows on ARM virtual machine on a M2 MacBook Air running Tahoe 26.5.1, Fusion 26.0.0.

I have two user accounts on there, an admin account connected to a Microsoft account and a standard account that is a local account.

The admin/Microsoft account retains my screen resolution settings every time I boot/login to the VM.

The standard/local account doesn't. In fact, if I'm in full screen mode, switch to another Mac app, then switch back the resolution changes.

The resolution changes to the max resolution which makes the text extremely tiny.

How can I resolve this?

UPDATE: I'm having issues replying to this thread. I tried setting both settings under VMWare Display Preferences to "Stretch the virtual machine). So far, that has helped. I will continue to test and report back here on if anything changes.

Can you try to uncheck the "Autofit Window" and/or "Autofit Guest"? If it doesn't resolve your issue, can you shutdown the guest VM and add these lines in your *.vmx file, then reboot.
