VMware Issue with multi monitor layout

Hi everybody,

since a few weeks I am facing with an issue using VMware Workstation 17.6.3. In this case it does not matter whether using Player or Workstation Pro.

I am using my Virtual Machine with 2 Monitor Layout and from time to time, the VM is switching automatically back to single monitor layout. This can happen multiple times per day and it is very annoying.

Before the issue accured, I was working with Windows 10 and never had this issue.

In my opinion the issue started, since the upgrade to Windows 11.

My current setup is:

• Dell Precision 7750
• Dell Dock WD19DC
• 3 Monitors (2 directly to the dock, 1 direct to laptop)
• Windows 11

Maybe somebody is also facing with this issue and might have solved it.

(There is a delay when posts are arrived. Now you posted twice. Maybe you could delete the other one).

People seem to have problems with Multiple Monitors. I can only give you a way to go round the problem and that works really well: Have one monitor with REALLY good size and resolution - then you don't need multiple monitors.
