I just upgraded my macOS from Catalina to BigSur and having to relicense some of my software items

vmware fusion quite running after I decided to upgrade to match the OS...

I have a Mac Pro 5,1 ...2012 i think....with macOS installed using opencore patcher.....

vmware fusion for mac now saids - the processor does not support XSAVE

I went thru the vmware compatibility menu and downgraded as far as I could but the error won't go

away and the virtual machine won't boot.

Neither mac or windows virtual machine will boot...

I tried the older version of fusion I used to use fusion 11.50 which I think I upgraded to 12.0, as well as the

new 13 which are now supposedly free for personal use - nothing will run.....

I looked for a license for fusion 13 player but that product is no longer available for download and I can't get a license

to put in my setup to see if it would run and see if the error message goes away.....

I have a Mac Pro 5,1......2012 version I think....upgraded from Catalina to BigSur using opencore patcher......

I was running virtual box on a pc prior to moving to a mac for a few years now and then bootcamp, and now vmware....

I have a copy of Parallels Desktop 15 but having tried it yet....and don't know how it compares to vmware.....

I know vmware was a big leap from virtualbox at the time.....

basically got a directory of virtual machines here that I may have to convert and run on something else....

any ideas ?

thanks

Everything seems to work or run so far except for the vmware which is what i use to run windows from
