So, i'm running ESXi 8.0.3 and i have moved my SSD from one system to another system. I initially got the purple screen of death, which stated a "security violation was detected".
I installed the harddrive back into my old system, retrieved the encryptionrecoverykey and booted with "shift+o" and ESXi seemed to boot up again. I entered the shell and tried both "/sbin/backup.sh 1" and "/sbin/auto-backup.sh 1" and although the output looks fine:
After reboot i still get the purple screen again.
My issue seems to be similar to this:

I seem to get an similar error when doing "vim-cmd hostsvc/firmware/backup\_config":
However the mentioned issues "bootUUID= is missing." or "O at the end" don't appear to be the issue for me:

Anyone had this before?
