Management of multiple clusters at different sites on single vCenter Server

Apologies for the likely stupid question upfront.

We have three sites and hypervisors in our org. All are running ESXi. Each has its own VCSA managing its own hosts and VMs.

Site 1 - Hypervisor 1 - vCenter 1 managing Site 1
Site 2 - Hypervisor 2 - vCenter 2 managing Site 2
Site 3 - Hypervisor 3 - vCenter 3 managing Site 3

We want to start managing Site 2 using the VCSA at Site 1, and get rid of the VCSA at Site 2 completely.

Site 1 - Hypervisor 1 - vCenter 1 managing Site 1 and Site 2
Site 2 - Hypervisor 2 - no vCenter (but hosts and other VMs remain)
Site 3 - Hypervisor 3 - vcenter 3 managing Site 3

This can be done, right? It seems like it can, but I haven't been able to parse out a search that directs me to something that confirms it. Or to any kind of KB or procedure to explain it.

Thanks!

Please check the following article for migrating hosts from one vCenter to another. Point to note here is vCenter can manage Esxi(s) from different sites but make sure the network latency between sites are very minimal otherwise vCenter may lose connectivity to Esxi on remote site and hosts will disconnect from vCenter intermittently.
