Hi,

Since upgrade to 26H1u1 or last Windows KB, I cannot create new VM : no booting from CD-ROM

VM CD-ROM connected on good ISO file

or VM CD-ROM connected on virtual CD-ROM (ISO mounted under W11pro)

It was good with previous release (26H1) and/or before this W11 KB : KB5122105, KB5120708, KB5121003

Regards

Don't no, but can give you some guesses:

- E: is not hard-drive (SSD or something, but CD)
- starting directory with "_" is not allowed, don't know why since it is a typical ASCII character
- take the Floppy driver out ... I faintly remember that there was something wrong in VMware, if floppy is present (now it searches it anyway)
- you have something funny in Options

Also, what I would always suggest, is to create the VM first - then you will see how it goes. And ONLY THEN try to boot it in order to install the OS. This is the safe method in all cases, I have learned. Now you are trying to do two things at the same time.
