windows wsfc with different vcenter

HI,
I have a question regarding installing a sql2022 WFSC based on windows 2022.
My customer has two datacenters.
In each datacenter there is a vcenter and there are 3 vsphere 7.0 hosts.
Each vsphere cluster is connected to a san.
My question is:
Can I install the WSFC by installing a node on one datacenter and a node on the other datacenter?
If I use shared VMDK disks I know I can't do it as I found this:

Require all hosts connected to a clustered VMDK datastore to be on ESXi version 7.0 or higher, managed by the same vCenter instance, version 7.0 and higher while disabling or enabling clustered VMDK flag on the datastore. Once the clustered VMDK flag is enabled/disabled, hosts can be managed by any vCenter with version 7.0 or later.
All ESXi hosts involved in hosting nodes of a WSFC must be managed by the same vCenter instance. A cross vCenter WSFC is not supported (i.e., when ESXi hosts, hosting VM nodes of a WSFC are managed by different vCenter instances)
Requires VMFS version 6. 

However, if I use RDM discs, is it possible to do so or not?

Hi,

as p/vRDMs also uses a vmdk descriptor file I don't see a chance that this would be a supported design.
Why doesn't your customer uses SQL Always on instead of (somehow implemented) clustered disks?

Yea, I think you would need the servers to be in the same datacenter so you could see the same datastore properly from both WSFC servers.
