    hello,
I try to add a windows Service as explained in their docs (Use a platform service of this type to monitor applications that run as a service under Windows. After creating the platform service, configure it on the "Edit Configuration screen". To configure it, you must supply its Service Name as defined in Windows.) but when configuring the Widows service that runs under my machine I have always this message:The configuration has not been set for this resource due to : Agent error: Could not open Windows Service:Name-of-the-service.

I wonder if that Hyperic doesn't support windows service really!!!
    Any help will be appreciate.

    Hi,

could you please give an example of a Service and its name you have tried to configure ? Probably you have entered only the wrong String for the service name. You could look it up with the sc.exe command.

    hth,

keep calm.. which service ...? i think you has no configure the service or you has no configure it with real service name.

Open service properties and check for service name (you can use taskmgr too) and check for its name (see image).

After, check if agent has privileges to access to this process (there is no runing under a limited user)

    Good luck

Note: remember.. after to create a new service, you need to setup it, including the service name (sometimes, when i create a new apache multiprocess, i didn't to configure the PTQL because "it is the default" [false]).
