  • 1.  Windows 2008 R2 and Network Load Balancing

    Hello all. Need a help very much to understand to configure two windows 2008 R2/Windows 2012 NLB (network load balance) configuration in multicust mode. Is there any requirement in vDS or Physical Switch configuration to work windows NLB? Also is there any configuration requirement on Next Gen Firewall?

    Sorry, forget to mention,

    Vcenter 5.5.x, ESXi 5.5u3, Two up-link (vDS), Two physical switch.

    Here is a sample configuration: VMware KB: Sample Configuration - Network Load Balancing (NLB) Multicast Mode Configuration and depending of your physical network infrastructure, you may need create a static ARP entry.

    Many thank you Mr Richardson Porto. As we can see there is 2 (two) MAC address is binding with the NLB Virtual IP address. is any one of this MAC ARP static entry will do?
