  • 1.  Which VMWare to get?

    Hi All,

    The information I am looking for is which VMWare product will be most suitable for me? based upon the following requirements:

    1. Need to control 6 servers running Free version of VMWare ESXi.

    2. All 6 servers are on different location and different networks

    3. Need vMotion feature as well so that I can transfer VMs from one server to another

    4. Need to have High Availability feature as well for critical VMs.

    5. If an alert and monitoring solutions is baked in then that would be huge plus.

    The info required is which product and which license to get in order to meet the above requirements?

    Your host licenses will need upgrading to paid-for vSphere licenses, and you'll need at least one instance of a licensed vCenter Server.
