  • 1.  Web client stop working properly in Chrome 43 (32-bit)

    Posted Jun 25, 2015 03:24 PM

Last night, when I use Google Chrome (32-bit, NPAPI plug-in enabled), I found out I can no longer Open Console for any VM (I was able to do this for all VMs, regardless whether they have VM Tools installed or not). Since I normally use Firefox, I only realized this now.  All my settings are correct, such as my client PC can resolve the hostname.

I have two Windows 7 machines, I have installed VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-5.5.0.exe as always. I noticed that when I login, I no longer get the Google warning about their ending support for VMware Remote Console/Client Support plug-in [First picture was what I have encountered 1 months ago, I no longer see that], so does this mean you can no longer to use Google chrome 43 to manage vSphere 5.5?

Yes, As of now everyone getting the same alert.

Now you can fix your issue by fixing these 2 settings in your chrome. it will fix your problem of opening console right now. Fix : Google Chrome breaks the vSphere Web Client Integration Plugin | Vmwareminds

I have made the change exactly as directed, now the two yellow warnings do come out, but "Open Console" is still grayed out.

Another challenge I always have is the font of Web Client absolutely can't be zoomed in, on my 1080p screen, it looks awful.

I just wonder decision makers at VMware, are they extreme egocentric psychopath who are also sadistic?

Seems your web client plugin is not installed correctly . reinstall it and see if it works.

Thanks, I reinstalled that multiple times, no change. In fact, Chrome worked 3 weeks ago, I never made any change to my PC, I normally use Firefox, but when I tried it last night with Chrome, it didn't work.

So my question now is this: is it still possible to use Web Client (with all designated features available) without Adobe flash?
