    vSphere 4.0 Build 162856, ESX 4.0 Build 164009

This is a new test cluster with four identical servers. I was testing HA failover by powering down one of the servers via ILO power management. In the inventory pane, the server icon switched over to a red alert, and it showed disconnected. But no indication of any HA activity showed up in the Recent Tasks pane below. I had to go to the cluster's Tasks & Events tab and click on the Events button to find out that HA had detected a possible host failure, and where the guests were restarted.

Is it just me, or does it seem like an event as critical as this warrants some visibility in the Recent Tasks pane? Is there a vCenter setting somewhere that allows user-tailored adjustments to what shows up there?

try restart a Vcenter, close Viclient.

    Start Vcenter, and open Viclient.
