  • 1.  vSphere Client Create VM with IDE disk

I need to create a vm with an IDE disk on ESXi using the vSphere Client.   There doesn't seem to be an option to create an IDE disk?  Since my only has an IDE disk driver and no SCSI device support, I really need to specify an IDE drive.  I have that choice under the ESX web client, where is that choice hiding in vSphere Client?

When you create a new VM, choose "Custom" in the wizard and when asked for the virtual disk type, select IDE.
