I installed the vSAN Health Plugin, and when I went to the web client to finish the host install; I was able to browse the environment but the middle portion is... blank.  I uninstalled the plugin and web client functioned as normal.  Has anyone else seen this?  I plan on opening an SR tomorrow.  Thank you, Zach.

If you're running vSphere 5.5 it is not supported. Check out this post from Vladan's excellent blog.... http://www.vladan.fr/vmware-vsan-health-check-plugin-released/

I had the same issue after installing vSAN Health Plugin, same blue middle screen with webclient being broken on signin, if you click around too much it crashes and the middle panel was blue except for the from page of the webclient which did load.

I fixed it by uninstalling the plugin, rebooting vCenter and reinstalling the plugin (reboot vCenter again). I did this twice (uninstall/reinstall/uninstall/reinstall) and rebooting vCenter after each step so I could document and open a SR, but it ended up working after that.

    Good luck!

I'm having the same issue as Zach and the suggestion from elerium unfortunately did not have any affect.

I've had an SR opened since last week but they haven't made any headway yet.

Bummer.  I hope you're the exception :smileyhappy:  I was really hoping to get the better view into health and run some of the tests.  Thank you, Zach.

I Don't know if these help or not, but perhaps you can verify if they make a difference.

    1. Ensure that the user who installs the health check plugin has vCenter privileges

    2. Ensure that the install is 'run as administrator'. You may need to open a cmd prompt with 'run as administrator', then run the msi.

Kicking off the MSI through a cmd prompt run as administrator did the trick.

    Thanks Cormac

    Thanks for confirming Drew.

Zach, can you give that a try and let me know if it works for you?

Bang-a-rang!  Starting and admin command prompt, launching the install, and restarting vCenter Server did the trick.  Thank you Cormac!

    Great to hear Zach.

I will get our documentation updated and call this out explicitly in the install, steps for windows.

Could you please make sure you follow the installation steps to install the plugin:http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/products/vsan/VMW-GDL-VSAN-Health-Check.pdf

Looks like you haven't restarted the service after installation.

Let me know if you still see the problem after service restart.
