    Hello,

    I have a warning saying my VMX file is corrupted. I cannot launch it anymore.

    You can find the log files attached in the .zip below.

    Hopefully someone can recreate the associated .vmx file for me to replace in the VMware file.

    Thank you in advance for your kind support :)

    Please backup the existing .vmx file, and see whether the attached one works.

    Nice to see you are still on the track!

    Do I need to rename this file with the original "ARM Windows 11 64 bits.vmx" name?

    Thanks!

    After copy/pasting the inside of your vmx file to the (copy of the) original vmx file, I get the error that the following file is missing : "Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition-000002.vmdk". It offers be to browse to find it.

    Sorry my bad, I attached the wrong .zip file.

    Regarding your .vmx file, the only difference that I can see, is that the log contains an additional line:

    gui.lastPoweredViewMode = "fullscreen"

    The encryption values are not printed in the log file, so not sure whether these entries may cause the error message.

    One additional thing that I noticed (not sure whether this is usual with ARM systems), is that the referenced file names in the .vmx file contain non-breakable spaces (hex C2 A0)!?

    "ARM Windows 11 64 bits"

    It's not “normal” on ARM VMs to have those characters in the VM’s name. That’s a user’s decision to put a “special character” in the display name

    This is the default name from the VMware Fusion Pro's integrated Windows 11 ARM installation steps.

    By the way, I have been able to rebuild a .vmx file by creating a new VM from the disk inside the original VM.

    Thank you for your support!
