Exception 0x80000003 (debug breakpoint) has occurred.

A log file is available in "C:\0-Windows11 XDP\vmware.log".  

You can request support.  

To collect data to submit to VMware support, choose "Collect Support Data" from the Help menu.

You can also run the "vm-support" script in the Workstation folder directly.

We will respond on the basis of your support entitlement

I upgraded to newer version but then I was not able to select the Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT so went back to 25H2.

Request you to try below steps and this and update if your issue is resolved-

VM > Settings > Hardware > Processors > Virtualization Engine and uncheck "Virtualize Intel VT-x EPT or AMD-V/RVI"

Also VMware Workstation 25H2 does not support nested virtualization with the WHP hypervisor

Please update to latest version of  WS 25H2u1

Upgraded to 25H2u1, but get this message when I start the VM:

    Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform.

    Continue without virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT?

Need this for WSL / Podman

If you need nested virtualization you need to disable VBS on the host: https://community.broadcom.com/vmware-cloud-foundation/discussion/how-to-disable-hyper-v-in-windows-11-24h2 This is not something VMWare can fix, or was broken by any Workstation update, rather Microsoft enabling VBS in 25H2.
