VMware workstation pro wont export OVF file

Hi,

I'm new to this community and software so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area and for my negligence. Hoping someone can help me out here. I'm unable to export an OVF file in VMware workstation pro. The option under file is completely greyed out. I've tried adjusting settings after researching on other threads and googling but all of it is outdated information. If anyone has any idea as to what my issue could be it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
