VMware VirtualCenter Server service not starting

"VMware VirtualCenter Server" service is not starting and could not find much logs. Could you please help to fixing this issue.

Hi Vickybala,

Are you experiencing any errors? If yes, please specify.

Also, please share the last 20 lines from VMware VirtualCenter\Logs .

Check if IIS service is started in the server.

Also, explain does this issue occurred after windows reboot or any event which lead to this.

Can you upload the log? What error are you getting while starting the service? What went wrong? how did the service go down?

Thanks for the reply, VM was not responding due to that rebooted the VM after that Vcenter service is not starting.

Hello,

checking the vcenter log, it sounds like some application is already listening at tcp port 80:

Failed to create http proxy: Resource is already in use: 0.0.0.0:80

Then, the vcenter doesn't start. Check this vmware's kb, maybe it's helpful: VMware KB: Port already in use when installing VMware vCenter Server 4.x / 5.x

Hi All,

Thanks for the help. Issue has been resolved by stopping the Apache2 service but not sure why Apache2 was installed on that VM(Win2k8).

In this Vcenter VM XenCenter also installed. XenCenter also opening fine.
