VMware Tools Installer Location on VirtualCenter or ESX Host

Ok, so I know the standard way of installing the VMware Tools on a VM is by using the "Install/Upgrade VMware Tools" when connected via the VI Client. Using this feature I'm sure mounts some kind of an ISO or image file to the VM where the Tools installer can then be started/initiated. Does anybody know where I can find this ISO file or installer file, specifically for the Linux guests? What we're trying to do is get the installer file for the tools so we can store it somewhere else. I hope someone can help.

    Thanks a bunch.

On a running ESX you can find them in:

    /vmimages/tools-isoimages
