Strange problem, guests seem to randomly freeze. I'm still able to open the console and the login screen of the guest appears, but the guest doesn't respond to ctrl+alt+delete. But i'm still able to ping the host.

When i check resource allocation the guest memory is at 0 MB when it freezes. Made memory reservations to be sure that some guest doesn't use all the memory.

    Checked the following :

-Eventlog hosts, nothing in common pointing to the cause
-Created a data collector on the host, no strange issues found such as memory usage
-Checked the live graph on the vmware host, no strange readings such as excessive disk IOPS
-Checked the event on the vmware host, no events/issues when the host freezes
    -There's enough free disk space

    Vmware host : ESXI 5.0.0 469512
    Hardware host : Proliant ML350 G6

    Guest OS : 3x server 2008R2 standard, 1x SBS2011

Freezes are random, don't see any events and this makes it difficult to troubleshoot. When one guest freezes the other continue running, but in time all the guests will freeze/hang.
Started suddenly, no changes were made. The only thing that helps is turning of the machine and turning it back on again. These random freezes are happening every 2/3 hours

    Hello,

what about the vmware.log ...?? try grepping the word stun in the vmware.log and see the trace above it..?

    less vmware.log | grep stun

    Thanks,
