vMotion of Clustered Windows VMs

    Hi,

I want to migrate our clustered windows 2k8 virtual machines from one datastore say DS1 to another one DS2. I know there are limitations about mscs vMotion but I am looking for a walk around solution. I'm runnig out of space in DS1 and it is SATA. I have to migrate to DS2 which is large enough and FC.

    Cluster: windows server 2k8 x64

    1 GB Quorum

500 GB shared disk for this cluster service

    Node 1: win 2k8 x64

    100 GB local disk

    Node 2: win 2k8 x64

    100 GB local disk

I have a trivial plan that is,

    - move 2nd node which is inactive

    - in the 2nd node change configurations of quorum and shared disk.

    - power up the 2nd node recreate the cluster and make 2nd node as active

    - shut down the 1st node and migrate it too

    - edit configurations of quorum and shared disk

    - power up the 1st node and recreate cluster

but this plan has many weak points.

Does anybody has an idea about this request?

    Thanks in advance...

    Lets assume Node1: UYG1 and Node2: UYG2
