    Anyone have trouble vmotion 64bit Guest OS VMs ? I have a case open with support but it is taking long. Tried the mask in KB doc 1993 already and no luck.

    All my CPUs are AMD Opteron same stepping (E6). All the 32 bit VMs vmotion ok. Just the 64bit having trouble with this error.

    " Unable to migrate from esx2 to esx3: The CPU of the host is incompatible with the CPU feature requirements of virtual machine; problem detected at CPUID level 0x80000001 registr 'ecx'. "

    I just submitted a support request for the same problem using Win 2003 64 Enterprise. One ESX 3.5 server takes it fine the other will not. Both are exactly the same configuration Dell 2950s. Once I get an answer, I'll post.

    As usual, operator malfunction. Forgot to enable VT in the BIOS on the new server. Works fine now.
