virtual switch detached after p2v

i have a VM with vnic attached to vSwitch1. every night i will power off it and then use converter to back up it to a remote physical machine. but sometimes, after converter, this VM has no vSwitch attached, i must manully re-attach it to vSwitch1. anybody have similiar issue?

So you're doing a cold clone it sounds like. When you say it has no vswitch attached do you mean in the VM properties for the NIC there is not a network selected anymore? Or does the VM just not have any connectivity? Converter does not change anything on the source server at all. Check the vmware.log files of the VM for clues on why it is happening.
