Hello,
I currently have a platform in vmware 6.7 update 2.
I was able to notice the following details on my VCSA server. (see photo1 and photo2).
Indicates that the guest operating system is: Other linux 3 (64 bits)
Virtual Hardware 10 - ESXi 5.5 Compatibility
I understand that this is resolved by turning off the vm, in general options of the vm and changing to the correct operating system that in this case would be Photon.
Regarding the virtual hardware that is in version 10. I want to take it to version 14, to update the virtual hardware, I know that the change is irreversible once it is carried to the latest version 14, the operating system is affected after the change of virtual hardware ?, Has it happened to you?
I ask this, because I have several servers with the same scenario that the operating system of the vm, does not match the installed operating system and hardware version 10 and 13.
