    In vmware-data-protection-administration-guide-61

    I can find the configurations:

    I don‘t understand it.

    VMs need 30T disk space to backup.

    How should I configure it in VDP?

    Does VDP need separate datastore?

    go with the maximum, ie 8TB.

    VDP VMDKs can reside on the same datastore as the VM or a datastore of their own.

    I usually keep them on a different datastore probably residing on faster drives for better backup and restore performance.
