    During the install, in the phase "Deploy and configure VCF Management Platform" i'm getting a failure error of "Failed to register the appliance certificate with VCF services runtime" Any ideas?

    Hello

    I didn't find the exact error but I found few important points which can relate your scenario as pre-checks.

    • What is VCF services runtime? ->
      • Hosts and orchestrates VCF management services.
    • Requirement
      • Design Requirement ->
        • Create DNS entries for the following dedicated FQDNs:
          • VCF services runtime FQDN
          • Identity broker FQDN
      • Justification ->
        • Required for deploying VCF management services in the first VCF Instance.
      • Implication
        • You must create the DNS entries before starting the deployment.
    • During the upgrade of the first VCF instance that hosts VCF Operations, you install the following VCF management services components:
      • VCF services runtime & others as well
    • More information about it
      • During subsequent upgrades of VCF instances, as the required fleet level components are already deployed during the upgrade of the first instance, only the VCF services runtime, Salt master, and SDDC lifecycle components are deployed.
      • You must provide a dedicated IP range for the VCF services runtime with a minimum of 12 IP addresses. You must also provide three FQDNs for VCF services runtime, fleet component, and instance component. In the context of deploying VCF management services, the required FQDN for the fleet component includes the fleet lifecycle, Salt RaaS, and software depot components.
      • The FQDN for the instance component includes the SDDC lifecycle, Salt master, real-time metrics, real-time metrics store, and telemetry components. These FQDNs must resolve to unique IP addresses outside of the IP range provided for VCF services runtime.
      • In addition, you must provide one FQDN for identity broker and one FQDN for license server. These FQDNs must resolve to unique IP addresses outside of the IP range provided for the VCF services runtime.

    I'm now having a new issue and cannot get past it. During the "Deploy and configure the operations appliance" subtask "Install VCF Operations and VCF Cloud Proxy using Fleet Lifecycle" and milestone "Deploy and configure the operations appliance" i'm getting..

    The Fleet lifecycle 'OVA component installation' task with ID 019e2349-704a-7090-9640-133469fcbd6e failed. Internal errors: Failed to deploy VCF Operations node. Check vCenter tasks for errors., Reference Token: BS8UEO

    Nothing is shown in vCenter and i'm not seeing anything in the vcenter tasks.

    Hello

    • Check the route between SDDC manager and VCF Operation fleet manager VM, engage customer's network team if required.
    • Check the required port to be open between SDDC manager and VCF Operation fleet manager, specifically port 22 and 443.

    It may be difficult to immediately determine what is happening in your scenario, but the relevant details can be verified through the logs section. You will need to review the logs below to identify where the issue occurred and determine at which step or action the failure happened.

    Log file location:
    /var/log/vmware/vcf/domainmanager/domainmanager.log

    Please refer to the corresponding VMware documentation/articles for additional details on log analysis and troubleshooting steps.
