vCenter Server on a generic desktop machine

    Hi All,

    Can we install vCenter Server on a generic, custom built desktop machine.

    This is for a Simplivity box installation requirement.

    We are able to install Windows 2012 R2 server on it.

    1 CPU with 4 cores, 16GB RAM, 300GB disk

    ALso can vCenter Server be installed on an active directory?
