    can you use vCenter to manage Hyper-V or citrix hosts? the same as esxi?

    As already answred, NO, it can't. Long time ago there was VMware vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager, but AFAIK it is not supported any more. There are 3rd party solutions, which can some how do it. For example RedHat CloudForms.
